Mayo artsquad was formed in 1998. John Coll was the chief architect and was the Mayo County Council Arts Officer at the time. Key personnel over the years include John Coll, Anne McCarthy and Mick Smyth.

Who does it benefit: The Community Arts workers, Community Development Groups, Schools, Care settings/ Older People/ Disability Groups, Festivals and Local Drama

Funding: Mayo Arts Squad was setup as a Community Employment Scheme and is funded through the DSP and supported by Mayo County Council as a Sponsor
